Hi ganesh,

Yes, Shibboleth is a way to implement SSO to resources within an organization.

Shibboleth additionally provides the advantage of enabling SSO across multiple 
providers or sites. Meaning you can cleanly enable access to a resource from multiple organizations, institutions or other discrete user bases.
