The next release (2.4) which is due quite soon will have a more mobile
friendly login page.  I’d wait for that and see what is available before
doing anything more.

Depending on your container, there are various tricks you can pull on your
test server to help test jsp, but that is somewhat out of scope for this
mail list.  Looking forward to IdP V3 we expect to use velocity as the main
rendering mechanism which will separate you from the need to redeploy the
war file just to test a web page.
