I infer from the requested attributes (mail) and the http://www.incommon.org/federation/attributesummary.html
that releasing my multi-valued mail attribute meets stated service requirements, but will that in fact be suitable for use by the mail list manager?

I guess I'll configure it and see…

The alternative is to use a single valued attribute from the attribute store (LDAP) representing an actual mail account and release that to the mail list manager as "mail" in the SAML assertion.
