IDP and effort?

Hi everyone,

I'm new to the world of SAML2, and SSO in general.

We would like to add a SAML2 integration to our product, which probably
means that I have to implement an identity provider, and I could do that
with Shibboleth right?
(Our product is then python and django-based)

But first I have to get somehow an estimate of how long it might take.

Given no prior knowledge, how long do you think it might take to implement
the whole Identity provider and integrate it with our product?

I saw some Python libraries and django integration which we might use, but
I suspect the really hard parti is all the rest..
