I have gone through Web Browser SSO Profile earlier and have understanding of
request/response flow . 

As you have mentioned 

"It will receive a unique assertion about the user minted by the IdP, but no
user interaction will be involved if that user has already authenticated and
the IdP supports SSO. "

Does that mean, from sp1.com I will not send a request to sp2.com directly,
instead I will send a request to IDP which will then redirect to sp2.com ?
