Form POST Preservation on IIS?

Hi-

We're working out a shibboleth authentication mechanism with a vendor, and we'd like to preserve HTML POST parameters through session initialization, as documented with the postData and postTemplate settings.

The page https://wiki.shibboleth.net/confluence/display/SHIB2/NativeSPInterestingFeatures announces this as a feature starting with version 2.2, with the caveat "Apache Only".  We are, unfortunately, working with IIS.

Version 2.2 was released a few years ago.  Is it still true that POST data preservation is only supported under Apache?  Is there any hope of this changing in the future?
