I'm not aware of testshib caring. All you should need is a name. The only
thing that has to resolve that name if you're setting up a flow without
any back channels is your client via /etc/hosts.

Can you help me understand why none of the existing examples, wiki
documentation, and other resources are of any use? If I knew why metadata
was so confounding to people, we could identify what documentation is
actually missing. "I don't get it" is the only response we get, and that
doesn't help.
