One more Attribute question

Hello,

I have all the normal attributes wired up, but we seem to still be having
an issue with the NameID element, the one we are receiving is seen below:

<saml:NameID Format="urn:oasis:names:tc:SAML:2.0:nameid-format:transient"
NameQualifier=
"https://s-memberportal.cigna.com/sps/idp_saml20/saml20" SPNameQualifier="
https://www.dev.careverge.com/shibboleth-sp">uuid4d6db409-0138-1a45-af2b-f9d
604f1a502</saml:NameID>

I read that a NameID with persistent format will be automagically pulled
into the webserver environment.  Is the same true for when the NameID is
transient format?  If so, does it get pulled into a variable named
transientId?

If not, how do I access the NameID value?
