Yes, or some related hostname mixup, you're right. I was thinking by "link to B" that the immediate response was the error, but if it hits the IdP first and then back to an SP and you get an error that looks like A, then something like that is probably the issue. Most likely B doesn't know its proper name and vhost information and is identifying itself as A.
