Authentication is entirely separate from attribute issues. Please search
the list, there are numerous threads on database-backed authentication.
You will have to find plugins or code to do that.

Realize that your IdP will break on virtually any random confluence
upgrade. This is just not going to work well for you. If you want that
database to be the IdP, I would use Crowd.
