Hi Peter, Chad, Kevin, Lukas, and Mark,
adding the derefAliases property both to login.config and to the
attribute resolver solved the issue completely!
Thanks also for the other inspiring answers.
We are so grateful to everybody on this list for your help in tracking
down the problem. Really great community!
