Hi Scott,

Thanks. However after checked it again there seems no misconfiguration for my hostname and metadata.

First I have pointed vdbmac.astro.cf.ac.uk to 127.0.0.1 in /etc/hosts

Both https://vdbmac.astro.cf.ac.uk/idp/profile/Status and https://vdbmac.astro.cf.ac.uk/Shibboleth.sso/Status tests are ok.

I am requesting https://vdbmac.astro.cf.ac.uk/secure , then it redirects to https://vdbmac.astro.cf.ac.uk/idp/Authn/UserPassword, after entering username and password, it redirects to https://vdbmac.astro.cf.ac.uk/idp/profile/SAML2/Redirect/SSO showing the error message.

The sp metadata loaded by idp is
   <AssertionConsumerService
				Binding="urn:oasis:names:tc:SAML:2.0:bindings:HTTP-POST"
				Location="https://vdbmac.astro.cf.ac.uk/Shibboleth.sso/SAML2/POST" index="1" isDefault="true"/>
            <AssertionConsumerService
                Binding="urn:oasis:names:tc:SAML:2.0:bindings:HTTP-POST-SimpleSign"
                Location="https://vdbmac.astro.cf.ac.uk/Shibboleth.sso/SAML2/POST-SimpleSign" index="2"/>
  ...

I have no idea what is wrong.

Cheers,
Hao
