Right, but is the context/goal to deal with managed machines, or machines
in general?

One of the options discussed has been using custom login handler code to
support opting out of SSO at the login page, to let people self-select
that they're on a shared box.

Obviously that puts onus on the user, but it does provide some degree of
SSO without totally ignoring the problem.
