As a rule of thumb, if you see anything written about Shibboleth that
doesn't come from us or one of the federations, you can probably assume
it's inaccurate at best and flat wrong at worst.

Even if it didn't work with SAML 2.0, which isn't actually the case, it
would still work with SAML 1.1.
