Same ShibSP session across two vhosts?

Let me describe the scenario a little bit more:

There are two separated vhosts on the same server. Each has it's own features.
They are running under the same domain but different hostnames.

The mission is to join them together into some kind of portal, but on the other hand keep them on the original vhost locations.
Of course I'd like to avoid user to have to click login button again, especially because in user perspective, he will be staying on same portal all the time.

Any other suggestions how to approach this scenario?
