load analysis for idp?

Hello,

We are currently looking at increasing the load on our small shibboleth 
IdProvider.

Has anyone seen problems scaling the IdProvider?

Ours is on a vmware virtual machine.

We will need to handle 20,000 logins per day.

How does the software and or hardware scale?

How much memory or CPU horsepower is needed for a load of 20,000 logins?

Any ideas about this?
