You're on a (very) unsupported release that includes a number of security
vulnerabilities, so even if we could, it wouldn't be a good solution.

If the patch caused the failure, then there is or was a bug that perhaps
is triggered by a change to the older runtime library. I no longer use
that runtime, having switched compilers, and any bug that did exist would
need to be reproduced on a supported version.

Not the answer you want, but there's a reason we publish a version policy
and spend so much effort maintaining compatibility for configurations.
