has anyone used shibproxy?

Hi Shibboleth users,

I'm trying to figure out if it's possible to setup our lab's SVN server
to authenticate users with our university's identity provider. From a
couple hours of googling the best thing I could find is this shibproxy
program: http://dev.e-taxonomy.eu/trac/wiki/ShibbolethProxy (which
hasn't seen any action in two years).

It *appears* to be working, but it seems I can't connect to the svn
server through this proxy because it can't verify the server
certificate, which is issued through our universities CA. Has anyone
used this program before? Is there a way to tell it where to search for
CAs?

Has anyone ever found a way to serve version control repositories using
shibboleth for authentication? There was a long thread back in '09 but
the consensus was that the client software would have to be updated. I'm
wondering if there is anything new?

Thanks,

Josh
