<div>The Shibboleth project is pleased to announce the next alpha release of the WebAuthn authentication plugin for testing [1]. To install, inside the ${idp.home}/bin directory, run the following command (plugin.bat in Windows):</div>

<div>This version includes support for FIDO Metadata to validate authenticator attestations and enhance the registration user interface. Additionally, it allows custom events to be signalled if the user has not registered any WebAuthn credentials with the system.</div>

<div>An alpha release of a plugin is for testing purposes only and should not be used in production. Early testers are welcome to provide feedback and report bugs on the project's issues page [3].</div>
