FYI, I didn't look at the actual patch yet, but if you were
literally checking out the /trunk, that's not going to be correct.
For historical reasons I won't go into, we don't actually do
development on the /trunk of any of the OpenSAML and Shibboleth v2
projects. The /trunk of any of those projects is very old and
completely out of sync with any of the current codebase. <br>
<br>
The current code being maintained, and what you want to be looking
at, is the relevant major branch version. For xmltooling and
openws, this would be /branches/REL_1. For opensaml2, it's
/branches/REL_2. <br>

That said, we've already done the update to the newer BC version in
our OpenSAML v3 project, so I'd imagine the changes to v2 would be
similar. Those parts of OpenSAML haven't changed that much.<br>

Still not clear though whether we'll be able to get this into a
release of OpenSAML v2. We'll discuss this week.<br>
