Retiring public access to git.shibboleth.net

FYI,

All our source code was moved over to Codeberg awhile ago, and we are now starting the process of shutting down public access to the old URLs.

We have (finally) implemented a set of redirects for https://git.shibboleth.net/git/ over to Codeberg and that works, but doesn't really remove the reference to our URL, though it at least reduces some load for us.

We ask that anyone with http/https-based clones of any of our code please get their remotes updated to https://codeberg.org/Shibboleth/ as soon as possible.

On August 1st, we will remove the redirects and at our discretion start blocking access to the old /git root folder and its contents.

Some of our project tests for longstanding reasons may still have some references to URLs on that host, and until we've fully retired those versions of the code (probably once V5 sunsets), we'll have some vestiges that remain, and we'll fix anything that happens to break, but as of August that is intended to be the only externally accessible access to that vhost.

Thanks,
-- Scott
