The Shibboleth project is pleased to announce the next alpha release of the WebAuthn authentication plugin for testing [1]. To install, inside the ${idp.home}/bin directory, run the following command (plugin.bat in Windows):
./plugin.sh -i https://shibboleth.net/downloads/prerelease/idp-plugin-webauthn-0.0.3.tar.gz<https://shibboleth.net/downloads/prerelease/idp-plugin-webauthn-0.0.2.tar.gz> --noCheck
Find information on installing and upgrading alpha, beta, and snapshot plugins in [2].
This version adds:
* A simple management flow for admin users to manage other users' credentials.
* This is in addition to the user registration flow already in the plugin.
* A pluggable attribute resolver strategy for generating the user.id and user.displayName from identity attributes.
* Plenty of cleanups and bug fixes (including several fixes to the views).
An alpha release of a plugin is for testing purposes only and should not be used in production. Early testers are welcome to provide feedback and report bugs on the project's issues page [3].
This is likely the last alpha release before the plugin moves to its beta phase.
