CentOS no longer downstream of RHEL

To the extent that this was part of my question it was simply rooted
in the fact that so far there was essentially only a single GNU/Linux
platform "officially supported" (RHEL and clone):

(ignoring the bit about SLES 12SP5 in 2021)

Which might have skewed my question and may have caused the assumption
about there being "the" platform.

(If that's MS-Windows that's fine and means I've been liberated from
the idea of having to run our Demo SP service on the same "reference"
platform.)
