ResultCache impl for extensions of DataConnector

Hello,

We have and extended the AbstractSearchDataConnector and I would like to support ResultCache with that connector.  I am not finding any documentation on what, if any implementation I need to provide for ResultCache for this connector and how to enable it, as a custom plugin.

Any guidance is much appreciated.
