ClassNotFound really isn't ambiguous, obviously, so it ain't there. You can check wars, but fundamentally if it's Tomcat, I suspect it's Tomcat being Tomcat. Either way there's not much I can tell you if you already know what that error means, the jar's not present or the class isn't in the jar.
