So far I've loaded the dump into an SVN repo and checked that out into
SVN and Git (svn2git) working copies to play with. Seems there are
only 2 meaningful commits, there.
I originally thought I'd "replay" the commits I know came from myself
(or which can be traced to me via Jira) onto another, fresh repo, to
sidestep any potential issues about authorship and copyright (as to
not implicate I2, for example, should I push to Github) but rewriting
history may not be worth it, neither from the amount and complexity of
the code (or lack thereof), nor from the (lack of) diversity of the
code provenance.
So I could just push the stuff as is, and start any changes for v3
(which I'm sure must be minimal), though that would have Chad as the
sole committer (and Git/svn2git also wants an email address), which
I'm a bit unsure about.
I guess one could always claim that copyright doesn't even apply to
those few lines of code, as they're lacking in originality, creativity
and show no traces of a personal style/taste. As such one could just
grab the lastest revision and start fresh from there, and put it into
(keep it in) the public domain ("unlicense").
