Actions not identified/identifiable?

I was surprised to find that we never inherited the AbstractProfileAction hierarchy to give them IDs.

Was that something we consciously didn't do? It would be kind of nice to able to have Spring propagate in the action IDs that get used in the flows as component IDs for triggering timers for example.

I don't think it would break anything to just pull getId()/setId() into the hierarchy down in OpenSAML, though I haven't tested that. Obviously it would not apply to the interface.
