Shibboleth IDP replacing logging implementation

Hi all, I've been checking
https://wiki.shibboleth.net/confluence/display/IDP30/LoggingConfiguration
and trying to change by myself logback -> log4j2 (is a requirement from my
current project). Ive tried to replace logback jars by log4j2 plus
log4j-slf4j-impl, and also changed services.properties to point to log4j2
configuration file.
I haven't succeded yet, no logs are created, and it seems that there is a
internal class from shibboleth using  logback classes as dependencies.
Do you think is posible to chante logging implementation from logback ->
log4j2?
