I'm prepared to abide by the version policy if needed, specifically add capability without removing, but it would result in some (ugly) duplication of configuration (in system files). I would argue that an exception is reasonable in this case since the SLO components are admittedly not fully baked, and consequently no one is using them yet. Additionally we don't ship any user-space configuration that contains the component, so it seems pretty safe to make breaking changes here. Thoughts?
Tentatively I'm probably ok with it, but I'd like to know more specifics before deciding, since some duplication in the system files is fairly non-important as downsides go. Plus there's not much in that class, so what would you be needing to remove from it?
