OpenSAML v3 docs

I am working on converting an application, which provides SP capabilities,
from OpenSAML2 to 3. Obviously, the API changes are significant, and I am
very much in need of dev docs to guide me through some of the rough
conversion spots. Specifically, converting BasicMessageContext and
Transport classes over is proving challenging. I had a look at the wiki,
and I don't see much yet that would help me make the full conversion. 

 

Questions:

 

-          Does the dev team, time permitting, plan to produce docs on how
to work with new library version?

-          Short of initial design decisions and brainstorming notes, are
there any available that I may have missed on the wiki? 

-          Is there any sample code, independent of the IDP code that
would show a working example? 

-          Would this be the appropriate list to share v2 code snippets
and discuss equivalents/alternatives in v3? 

 

The docs don't have to be extensive, or anything visual! A brief upgrade
guide that would explain how things are now done in v3 would be perfectly
sufficient for some of the less obvious stuff and I can certainly help
with some of it.
