Rod,

Responding belatedly to your note on Docker, one interesting design 
consideration is that the best practice with Docker is to run each 
service in its own container. So if you had an apache2 server 
front-ending the Shib IDP, you'd actaully want two containers. For Gluu, 
decoupling the components made it easier to cluster. It introduces some 
complexity, but for us, it was worth it.
