Integration testing flows

Hi devs,

I'm working on a authentication flow and don't want to do so without a
good test harness. ;) Outside of the IdP context, I've used the
SWF-provided testing classes as described in [1] successfully.
Unfortunately, those are hardwired to JUnit and I'd like to avoid mixing
it up with TestNG in the IdP. So how do you guys test your flows? Do you
have support classes to bootstrap a minimal SWF test context, assert
states are reached, set starting state, trigger events, etc.?
