It's left to profiling to support that, the protocol is just generic, you 
can query on whatever the server lets you. The SAML profile of it mentions 
the SHA-1 case specifically because of artifacts.

The CAS thing is really more designed around using SAML to create large 
groupings of systems by URL, so I don't see that really being a batch in 
the same way we have now, but the SAML artifact case is already in the 
spec.
