The structural stuff is indeed the meat of the conversion on this repo, as it was born in a very complicated way involving importing multiple other repositories. Those imported sub-repositories and their tags are being expressed in Git by using names involving "import", for example "import-jid-xxxxx". Whether we actually want to preserve that stuff is another question; at the moment, we're just untangling it.

Branches and tags without the "import-" prefix should correspond to the present-day tags and branches, more or less.
