LogbackLoggingService's class Logger ?

Rod,

In r6825 for IDP-77 where you added logging of the IdP version to the
LogbackLoggingService, did you have an explicit reason for not
following the "usual" pattern of defining the Logger as a class field
? I'm not criticising, just curious. AFAICT the "usual" pattern in the
LogbackLoggingService seems to work. I'm wondering if you encountered
some weird behavior.

(It was one of the things that made me hesitant about using the class
logger to control logging of startup properties.)
