One possible issue that I can think of is the danger of circular
references, which would inhibit garbage collection, I think. Do we ever
store references to the request anywhere in in the PRC? I didn't think
so, at least not directly, but not 100% sure. Also wondering whether
indirect, transitive references which are circular might cause a similar
issue.
I agree this might be useful, but sort of worried about subtle
unintended consequences like the above.
