Debugging the RequestMap is really its only important function, and that's a config thing, not a production thing.

I took a look at one, and I can see a handful of things in it that probably don't need to be on INFO, or could be tuned out by default in the configuration. So while anybody is welcome to file a RFE that I almost certainly will never get to, a RFE to turn down the noise in that log so that it doesn't matter much would be much more likely to get addressed in the next patch.

I've seen shibd.log fail to rotate plenty of times on Windows, and that suggests to me that the log4cpp code there is much more fundamentally broken (and thus a lot harder to fix than people think it is).
