What configurability are you thinking of?

The EntityAttribute-based filtering doesn't really make much sense to use attribute mapping, but I would expect over time that this one would be more ueful than the AttributeInMetadata filter, partly because of its inefficiency, and inability to handle anything but simple value comparison.
