Oh, probably goes without saying, but the main issue is obviously just
support/maintenance, that's the only reason it's never been core up to
now. I included it in the SP, but that's been iffy since I don't use
memcache at all and can't really support the plugin there very well. Since
you're apparently planning to use this one, that's about all I need to
know.
