This is fixed now, I think Brent made some changes to the encoders and the
SP "harness" needs to set the algorithm now, which it should have been
doing anyway.

Also, I'm still seeing the usual authentication error information in my
Velocity login template, so there may be an issue specific to JSP, I'll
check that now.
