Validating metadata signature based on key in metadata

>From previous discussion I have found out that metadata signatures should
be validated using a SignatureValidationFilter. This is feed with a key to
do the validation.

Problem is if the key is in the metadata, how do I read the key in the same
time as I initiate the metadatarpovider?
