A note about logging configuration

I'm not seeing any log files running the tests so far, I'll switch to
other modes.

When I traced into the logging service startup, I saw that it's not
replacing the nested reference to ${idp.home} in the logDir property. Is
that resolved later by logback, or is that a bug?
