Pretty sure that wasn't supported in the past, but given the new intent to
have metadata by itself, that probably becomes a (minor) use case if we
can handle it.

Anyway, sounds like we should hold off a second alpha until maybe next
week. I will probably work on a wiki addendum to start summarizing any
major bugs with the alphas for testers, and I'll just highlight that and
how to fix the one major thing if anybody is testing, since it's extremely
simple to fix.
