You already have; Lukas referenced it in the old request [1] he filed for
this kind of functionality, and I think you commented on it. I'm fine with
something like this as is, but would also like to determine whether it's
viable to add the ability to add the resulting attributes to the active
session, which is something the session cache supports but has never
really been tried or tested.
But the SP is frozen right now because we simply have insufficient
resources to be actively developing the IdP and SP with the same people,
and I'm the only committer on the SP for all intents and purposes.
It will be next year at the earliest before any possibility of work on the
SP exists, and at that point it will depend on the member input into our
work plan. And frankly, I'm not very high on doing more SP work when
people barely use a fraction of what it can do now. But that's just my
personal view, I'll do whatever people decide is ultimately valuable.
But without more dedicated people willing to help maintain the SP, there
just isn't sufficient people bandwidth right now. It's all me, and that
means it's not happening right now. C++ is not rocket science, but as long
as people don't help me, that's the situation. And I'm not talking about
individual work items like this, I mean dedicated long term help
maintaining and packaging the code.
