So, having that written down as part of our developer conventions in the wiki would be a start, but yes I'd also be looking for a little bit more. For example, which logging classes that implies, and what to do to exclude other logging packages when they are dependencies of other artifacts we depend on. I realise that's all very obvious to some of us, but there are so many almost but not quite identical logging facilities kicking around that it's far from clear to me that I understand all the implications. Having someone who did understand it write it down would help, I think.
