I understand your rationale and it makes sense. What I don't
understand is what's shipping with the distribution bundle. I would
think it would include logback-classic and jcl-over-slf4j along with a
logging.xml so that it has working defaults. Since the libs are
missing from war/WEB-INF/lib in recent snapshots, I don't understand
how there will be a working default without explicitly adding jars.
