/idp/profile/Status depracated?

 	Hello,

   we are using /idp/profile/Status for basic testing, if IdP is running in 
nagios plugin. We are prefer /idp/profile/Status instead of /idp/status, 
because admin must configure ACL for using /idp/status 
(/idp/profile/Status works out of the box). Log file tell me, that 
/idp/profile/Status is deprecated:

[edu.internet2.middleware.shibboleth.idp.profile.StatusProfileHandler:43] 
- This profile handler has been deprecated, use the Status servlet usually 
located at '/idp/status'

Is possibility that /idp/profile/Status would be switched back from 
deprecated status?

Exists similar basic status page, that works out of the box?
(In documentation 
https://wiki.shibboleth.net/confluence/display/SHIB2/IdPStatus in section 
"A Quick Test" you recommend test IdP using /idp/profile/Status)
