commons-codes library 1.4 - 1.5 ?

As Ian said, the main distribution at the moment will have 1.6 but I hadn't done a pass yet looking for jars to upgrade before release. I am somewhat concerned though because I get nervous about issues related to base64 line length.

Having already moved to 1.6, I guess I will need to go find out what we're using it for and how. But I would be inclined to move to the latest version before release.

Daniel, you said vt-ldap is depending on 1.4? What happens when a dependency transitively pulls in one version and the main POM another?

That's a maven question I guess.
