IdPv3 CAS Protocol Extension Update

I wanted to provide an update on the status of this work. It's taken a
surprisingly long time to get my head around the codebase and the
current state of IdPv3 implementation, but I'm there sufficiently to
realize my initial estimate of summer/fall was fantastical. I am
presently blocking on the authentication subsystem reaching a state
where there is some facility for handing off from the profile handling
subsystem to the authentication subsystem. I understood from the last
developer call that Scott expects to develop some flow invocation hooks
for the authn tier in the next month or so; I believe that will provide
what I need to move forward.

All development of IdPv3 CAS extension components is happening in a
public venue:

https://github.com/serac/shibboleth-idp-ext-cas

There have been no commits since May, but I hope to unblock soon and
resume active development. I encourage anyone interested in this work to
follow the GitHub repository above. I expect to demonstrate support for
the CAS v2.0 protocol in some form by end of 2013.
