Metadata support: EntitiesDescriptor/@Name handling

Did we have a specific strategy for how to represent an
EntitiesDescriptor/@Name on the descendent child EntityDescriptors?  If
we've discussed this in detail, I must have brain block, so apologies.

My intuition is that it's probably an extensions entity attribute,
correct?  Does there exist already a standard attribute name, profile,
etc for this, or are we going to have to devise something?  I thought
maybe the metadata aggregator might already have a stage that does this,
but I couldn't find one (although I don't really know that code at all).
